Friends, we’ve got great news for you!
Thanks to the huge interest from long jumpers, we’re expanding the program of this year’s JBL Jump Fest. Right at the very beginning of the event, we’re adding a night edition of the men’s long jump in the Open category, which will take place on Tuesday, June 10 at 8:15 PM – even before the official opening of our festival.
What makes this special?
For the very first time in the history of JBL Jump Fest, a competition will be held under artificial lighting! It’s a new challenge for us, and at the same time, it will serve as a kind of test run for future editions. The result will help us decide whether the event could expand into evening hours in the years to come. The gothic backdrop of the city center will take on a whole new nighttime dimension – and we’re genuinely excited to see how the square and cathedral will look once the lights go on and darkness sets in.

With this step, we want to give more talented athletes a chance to experience the unique atmosphere of our urban athletics meeting. Almost two months before the registration deadline, we’ve already received 30 entries in the long jump, which is twice the originally planned capacity. We also believe it will be a powerful visual experience for the spectators – the combination of the evening ambiance, top performances, and our iconic venue will deliver a truly spectacular kickoff.
So mark your calendars – Tuesday, June 10 at 8:15 PM we’re going full send!
We can’t wait to see you from the very first jump. All athletes currently on the waiting list, or those who want to be part of this premiere, are more than welcome!
