HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 3RD EDITION
the battle of the future european champion against FUTURE EUROPEAN vice-champion
- The innovation was the creation of a new arena. We have placed jumping track and sprint track in the same place.Entire arena was surrounded by stands.
- The sprint battle between Volko, Stromšík and Barnes had the greatest response among the spectators. Volko and Barnes have met a year later in the final of the European Indoor Championships, with Volko taking the gold just ahead of 2nd Barnes.
- The men’s long jump event record was broken. Radek Juška leaped to 793 cm and also in the men’s triple jump, when local Tomáš Veszelka reached 16.38 m.
- The children’s program got a fresh new format and the youngest athletes competed in a duathlon (sprint and long jump).
- So far, the most spectators have come to the stand.
